It all started back in the dark ages of the 80's. The two of us met in Columbus Ohio, at a theatre, while working on a play. Back in those days, Columbus had an abundance of community theatres and actors. What they lacked were techs who could design and build sets. We did a few shows together and realized we worked well with each other. And as they say, the rest is history. Almost 40 years of it.

We discovered, that we could take a pile of lumber and with the right tools, a bit of time. a colabrative effort and a good scenic painter the results were amazing. That pile of lumber could become a street scene in old London, the living room of a Victorian home or the yard of a rundown farm house with a chicken coop.

Eventually, we got to a point where we decided, instead of building something that only has to last for 5 or 6 weeks, let's take those skills and effort and build things that last for years. Or become pieces that get handed down through the family for generations. That is where we are now. The products we make today are built to the best of our abilities with the best woods that we can acquire. The only planned obsolescence in our business, is us. Cause everyone knows, you can't live forever.
